May you be in good health and spirits, with your Christmas preparations progressing smoothly. We trust that the festive season is shaping up delightfully for you.

Christmas Holidays and Busy Season

Our final day of operation in 2023 will be Friday, 22nd December. We will resume our services in the new year on Tuesday, 2nd January 2024. Just to let you know, due to the heightened workload typically experienced by accountants during December and January, we will be focusing primarily on assignments that have pressing filing deadlines.

Payroll and CIS Services Update

Our dedicated payroll team is currently reaching out to all our payroll and CIS clients to coordinate holiday schedules and ensure seamless service continuity.

Bookkeeping and VAT Reminder

For clients whose VAT quarter concluded on 30th November, the filing and payment deadline is 7th January. Rest assured, if we are already in possession of your records, your return is included in our work plan and will be sent to you for approval well before the deadline. If you have yet to submit your records, we kindly ask that you do so before our Christmas closure.

Self-Assessment Deadline Alert

With the 31st January filing deadline fast approaching, we are diligently working on preparing and filing numerous tax returns. If you have already submitted your checklist and records, your return is being processed and will be ready for your review shortly. If you haven’t sent us your Self-Assessment checklist and records yet, we urge you to do so promptly. Please be aware that we cannot assure timely filing for submissions received after our Christmas break.

Limited Companies and LLPs Filing

For those with unfiled accounts due in December or January, we are on track to process them, provided you have submitted your records and respond promptly to any queries. Please send us your records as soon as possible if you haven’t yet done so. We are unable to guarantee on-time filing for December accounts with outstanding records or January accounts for submissions received post-Christmas closure.

This holiday season, instead of traditional Christmas cards, we have chosen to support the Alzheimer’s Society. Our contribution aids their mission to create a future free from the ravages of dementia. The Society’s vital work includes offering support to those currently affected by dementia and advancing research for future solutions.

In the spirit of giving, Partner Graham Loosley will begin training for the Manchester Marathon on Christmas Day, dedicating his effort to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society. As you unwind post-Christmas, Graham will be gearing up for this challenge, embracing the cold, early mornings and late evenings.

If you’re inspired to sponsor him and bolster his motivation during these demanding training sessions, please follow this link to contribute.

Merry Christmas

We extend our warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to you and your loved ones.
